Taipei Trip June 2015 - Day 1: Taipei 101

Hello,

I am back from my holiday trip to Taipei. This was my second time visiting, my first was in Year 2013, with my uni friends.

Our initial trip to Korea was cancelled because of the MERS virus. I was feeling kinda sad & disappointed & angry all at the same time! But anyway, Taipei trip was fun as well as I get to spend time with Mr T.

We spent 7 days all in Taipei & stayed at Hotel B6 which was located at the heart of Ximending - the Hipster area! We love where the hotel was located - the only downside was that the Metro/MRT station was located quite some distance away.

What we love about the hotel location was because the cinema theatres (in fact there are 3)! which are conveniently located just right outside our hotel! Watson, 7/11 & Macdonalds are nearby too.
The hotel was good just that the room was kinda small but not an issue for us at all.

We arrived at Taoyuan Airport at 6am ++ (i think so) & we arranged for pick up transport to take us from the airport to the hotel! Unfortunately for us, our check in time to the hotel was 3pm. We actually wanted to have a quick wash up & some rest before we head out to the streets. Oh well~

So, we checked in our bags first & decided to go grab some breakfast,to buy the metro card & 3g sim.

After which we travelled to Taipei 101. Explore around, had lunch over Din Tai Fung & decided to sit the world's fastest elevator up to the top of Taipei 101 building.

Xiao long baos are always fav!!
The price of each ticket to go up to the observatory is TWD500.
Which is approximately SGD22
The exchange rate was 22.67 for me when I change for TWD.

Look at its speed!
The gigantic wind damper!
& the very cute damper baby~

Basically after that, we cabbed back to our hotel because its was pouring so heavily & I was so tired~

We rested a while in the hotel before we went out to explore Shida Night Market.
This banana crepe which I was holding is
DA BOMB!! I finished the whole thing.

We also had other food like the Taiwanese Oyster Pancake/Omelette, Squid soup etc..

We stayed for not long before we decided to pick up some cup noodles at a grocery mart for supper back at the hotel.

Oooh yes &&& TADAH pork burger!!
I LOVE THIS!

Till then for the next entry! BYE :)
